Buyer 1 (Wiring & Electrical Components)

What you will do

• Manage the strategic supplier base for high- and low-voltage wiring harnesses and low-voltage electrical components.
• Source qualified suppliers and establish sourcing strategies, agreements, and approval processes for production and service parts, tooling, and services.
• Lead supplier RFIs, RFQs, negotiations, and commercial agreements to meet cost, manufacturing, quality, and launch timing targets.
• Monitor supplier production readiness, capacity, performance, and supply continuity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management to resolve cost, quality, delivery, and program issues.
• Perform financial and cost-breakdown analysis, implement cost-reduction opportunities, and develop risk-mitigation strategies for critical subcomponents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
• Proven experience sourcing automotive wiring harnesses and electrical components.
• Strong supplier negotiation, relationship management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience identifying process issues and driving improvements.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Plex, or similar platforms.
