Assistant Project Manager (Data Center Construction)

Location: Abilene, Texas, US; full-time on-site work required

What you will do

• Support delivery of a large-scale data center campus across multiple buildings.
• Conduct weekly 360-degree construction site walkthroughs and manage ground-based reality capture activities.
• Test and implement DroneDeploy Progress AI and other construction technology platforms.
• Coordinate field observations with cost management, scheduling, contractors, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Lead progress meetings, monitor milestones, and identify discrepancies between field progress and project controls data.
• Prepare weekly reports on technology adoption, construction progress, milestone tracking, and schedule alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 2+ years of experience in construction, project management, project controls, field engineering, or construction technology preferred.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, schedules, milestones, and field progress tracking.
• Ability to work extensively in an active construction environment and conduct regular site walkthroughs.
• Strong communication, organization, and reporting skills across multiple project workstreams.
• Ability to work full time on site in Abilene, Texas, US.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale construction, data centers, mission-critical projects, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor projects, or other complex capital projects.
• Experience with DroneDeploy, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
