Project Engineer – New Graduate (June 2027) (Construction Management)

Location: Lenexa, Kansas, United States. Full-time work supporting construction projects and worksites; travel and varying shifts, including nights or weekends, may be required. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Support project managers with budgeting, client coordination, logistics, documentation, and project management software.
• Monitor construction safety, costs, schedules, progress, materials, change orders, and project financial status.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, trade partners, and other project stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain bid packages, contract documents, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, daily logs, pay applications, and project records.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings, update as-built drawings, and support design coordination and construction deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings, safety programs, business development activities, and professional or industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction science, construction engineering, or construction management; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Available to begin full-time employment in June 2027 as an upcoming college graduate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on active construction sites, including moving through precarious areas and working varying shifts when required.
• English communication skills and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
