TL;DR
Advanced Care Paramedic (Emergency Medical Services): Providing advanced emergency treatment and transporting sick and injured patients to appropriate medical facilities with an accent on patient safety, ambulance operations, and clinical decision-making. Focus on stabilizing patients in hazardous environments, leading ambulance shifts, completing electronic patient care reports, and coordinating with external agencies.

Location: Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, Canada; onsite ambulance-based work

Salary: CAD 37.25–50.74 per hour under the PEMS Inc/HSAA Collective Agreement.

hirify.global Health Services West operates and manages emergency medical services and pre-hospital care programs in Northeast Alberta as part of hirify.global Health Services.

What you will do

  • Provide immediate advanced treatment and transportation for sick and injured patients.
  • Lead ambulance shifts and make clinical, operational, and safety decisions.
  • Operate and maintain emergency vehicles, including stocking them for continuous readiness.
  • Work with PCPs, EMRs, hospitals, and external agencies during emergency responses.
  • Complete patient care reports, electronic patient care records, and incident documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, community education, and professional development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Alberta operator’s licence, class 1, 2, or 4.
  • Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
  • Current registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics for Lloydminster positions.
  • Completion of Alberta Health Services MCPs and a current CPR certification.
  • FARE Certificate required. Physical ability to lift and move heavy patients and work in hazardous environments is required.
