VP of People (Fintech)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, USA; hybrid, with four days per week in the office and Wednesdays working from home

What you will do

• Own and scale the People strategy across recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee experience.
• Partner with executives and department heads on headcount planning, organizational design, and people priorities.
• Lead recruiting strategy across go-to-market, Product, and Operations, including hiring frameworks and workforce planning.
• Standardize role definitions, scorecards, interview processes, and evaluation practices.
• Build metrics and dashboards for hiring, retention, performance, and engagement, and report insights to leadership.
• Develop scalable onboarding, manager enablement, job leveling, policies, documentation, and people tooling.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in People Operations, Talent, or HR, including Director-level or equivalent experience.
• Experience scaling companies from approximately 50 to 300 employees across multiple geographies, offices, and countries.
• Experience partnering with executives in a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
• Experience building recruiting and people systems from early-stage through growth-stage environments.
• Experience managing complex compensation plans and supporting both go-to-market and technical organizations.
• Experience with modern ATS and HR tooling such as Lever, Greenhouse, and HRIS platforms.
