Senior Human Resources Manager (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; Palo Alto HQ

Base salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential equity awards.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle management, and HRIS administration.
• Partner with the PEO on payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
• Manage employee relations and build scalable HR policies, handbooks, and operational processes.
• Lead compensation benchmarking, benefits strategy, rewards, training, onboarding, and manager development programs.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, headcount strategy, people metrics, culture, DEI, and engagement.
• Oversee employment-based immigration programs with outside counsel and support HR programs for UK employees.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including meaningful experience in high-growth startup or scale-up environments.
• Experience building HR programs from scratch and managing compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and onboarding.
• Deep knowledge of California and U.S. employment law; familiarity with UK employment law is beneficial.
• Experience with employment-based immigration processes such as H-1B and PERM.
• Experience working with PEOs and HRIS platforms such as Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, or similar.
• Strong judgment, discretion, communication, and ability to build trust across technical and executive audiences.

• Experience at a technical company or AI/infrastructure startup.
