Office Engineer, ANS (Transit Infrastructure)

Location: Seattle, Redmond, East Wenatchee, or Ellensburg, Washington, United States. Hybrid workplace with onsite assignments at client sites and day or night shifts.

What you will do

• Support the Construction Manager and Resident Engineer with contract administration, budgets, costs, reports, invoices, progress payments, and change documentation.
• Review, process, track, and distribute submittals, RFIs, change requests, shop drawings, work plans, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
• Manage document control and change control processes, project logs, distribution lists, controlled technical records, and the official project record in the PMIS.
• Coordinate technical reviews, comment resolution, field inspections, utilities, permitting authorities, testing teams, commissioning personnel, and transit operations staff.
• Track contractor schedules, milestones, look-ahead plans, interfaces, project status, action items, and technical review outcomes.
• Support federally funded project compliance, contract modifications, inspections, acceptance, closeout, punch lists, as-built records, warranties, training records, and turnover packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience as a Project Engineer, Office Engineer, or in a similar construction administration role.
• Experience on transit, transportation, or public infrastructure projects.
• Valid Washington State driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to work onsite at client locations, including day and night shift assignments.

Nice to have

• EIT certification or Professional Engineer registration.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, contract changes, pay applications, schedules, document control, and closeout documentation.
• Knowledge of WSDOT and APWA Standard Specifications, FTA-funded construction projects, and federal contract compliance requirements.
• Experience with GC/CM, design-build, EV charging, transit electrification, or contractor-side project engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint; familiarity with Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, Primavera Contract Management, or a similar PMIS.
