Health IT Analyst (Power BI)

Location: Not specified. The role supports the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and National Institutes of Health.

Salary: $70,000–$98,000 per year, with the final offer based on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, SQL logic, and automated reporting solutions for healthcare analytics.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, SSRS reports, Tableau reports and dashboards, data sources, extracts, users, groups, and schedules.
• Convert and migrate Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI, translating calculations, filters, parameters, relationships, and visualizations.
• Reconcile and validate reports against Tableau outputs and source data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues involving data, SQL, report logic, calculations, and visualizations.
• Gather business requirements, support validation and user acceptance testing, document solutions, and advise stakeholders on data use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of SQL experience plus three years of Power BI development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with healthcare or clinical data.
• Experience developing and supporting enterprise-level business intelligence and reporting environments.
• Experience with Tableau calculations, data models, dashboards, Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways, data refreshes, deployment, and row-level security.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
