Business Reporting Developer (Power BI)

Location: Durant, Oklahoma, United States; hybrid schedule with 20% onsite and 80% remote work, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

What you will do

• Design and develop reports using Power BI, IBM Cognos, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Develop and maintain Cognos Analytics data modules, data models, dashboards, canned reports, and self-service reporting resources.
• Gather business needs, translate them into report specifications, and support solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare data models and reporting resources for analysts and power users.
• Deploy releases to production and non-production environments while improving quality, scalability, and deployment processes.
• Document reporting solutions and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, or a related field, plus 3 years of equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in reporting solution development and converting business requirements into report specifications.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, IBM Cognos, or Power BI, including Microsoft SQL Server databases, scripting, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Experience with Python or R, data warehouse architecture, and technical documentation such as SOPs, SLAs, and training materials.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps, Git or other source-control tools, and Agile/Scrum development methods.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Durant, Oklahoma arrangement with 20% onsite attendance.

Nice to have

• Target qualifications include 6 years of equivalent experience, 6 years in reporting solution development, 5 years with SQL/Python/IBM Cognos or Power BI, and 4 years of Agile/Scrum experience.
