TL;DR
Head of Finance (Crypto/DeFi) (DeFi and crypto finance): Running the finance function across multiple entities and currencies with an accent on month-end reporting, audits, treasury, tax, payroll, and regulatory filings. Focus on reconciling wallets and custody balances, managing crypto fund NAV and liquidity, building transfer pricing models, and improving finance systems.
Location: On-site in the Cayman Islands, Denver, or New York. Ability to work in Cayman with existing work authorization or permit eligibility is required; relocation support is available.

operates a DeFi protocol on Ethereum with liquid staking, automated yield vaults, and a Visa card and neobank product linked to on-chain balances.
What you will do
- Run month-end close, management accounts, quarterly reporting, balance-sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition across multiple entities.
- Lead statutory audits, annual budgeting, monthly budget-versus-actuals, and cash forecasting.
- Monitor daily liquidity across fiat, stablecoins, and crypto, including portfolio reviews, rebalancing, payroll, and payment funding.
- Establish intercompany agreements and transfer-pricing models with external advisers.
- Manage tax and regulatory finance filings across the Cayman Islands, Brazil, the US, Canada, and the UAE.
- Own payments, payroll, contractor payouts, token vesting, card inventory costs, finance systems, and process automation.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with CA, CPA, or ACCA certification.
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience, including at least 4 years in-house at a crypto, fintech, or asset-management business.
- Previous experience running a finance function as a controller or head of finance across multiple entities and currencies.
- End-to-end audit ownership and hands-on experience with intercompany agreements and transfer pricing.
- Practical knowledge of wallet reconciliations, token accounting, staking rewards, and crypto-fund NAV.
- Must be able to work in Cayman with the right to work or eligibility for a permit.
Nice to have
- Cayman funds experience, CIMA registration, investment-manager entities, or fund administrators.
- VASP, payments, card-program, or interchange experience.
- US and Canadian tax experience.
- Multi-country payroll and token compensation experience.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, crypto sub-ledgers, and AP automation.
