Head of Finance (Crypto Trading)

What you will do

• Own group accounting, including journal entries, general ledger management, reconciliations and transaction recording across group entities.
• Lead monthly close and consolidation, producing management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reporting.
• Manage liquidity and treasury activities, including cash forecasting, funding requirements and balance sheet duration.
• Build budgets, forecasts, KPIs and management reporting covering revenue, costs, headcount, capital requirements and profitability.
• Design and automate accounting, reconciliation and reporting processes while maintaining data quality and financial controls.
• Work with Trading, Sales, Technology and the CEO to explain P&L drivers, resolve financial issues and improve decision-making.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on accounting experience in a trading environment, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close and consolidated management accounts.
• Experience in a hedge fund, commodity trading firm, proprietary trading firm, market maker or digital asset business.
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet control, liquidity management, cash forecasting, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Experience building and automating finance processes and improving financial controls and data quality.
• Commercial understanding of P&L, costs, capital usage, liquidity and return on capital.
• ACA or ACCA training, with strong ownership, analytical skills and business judgment.
