Employment & Corporate Counsel

Location: Remote USA

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year, depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Advise the People/HR team and senior leadership on recruitment, hiring, performance management, offboarding, executive compensation, and other employee lifecycle matters.
• Draft and review employment agreements, offer letters, restrictive covenant agreements, severance packages, and contractor agreements.
• Monitor employment laws and advise on FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, pay transparency, and remote work compliance.
• Conduct workplace investigations, develop HR policies and handbooks, and manage outside counsel on employment claims and agency charges.
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, SaaS, NDA, and master service agreements.
• Support M&A integration, corporate restructuring, international expansion, and broader legal risk management.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• 3+ years of relevant experience practicing employment law and general corporate law.
• Strong expertise in employment law, labor regulations, workplace compliance, and commercial contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, judgment, discretion, and ability to provide practical business advice.
• Must be eligible to work remotely in the United States.

• Law firm experience in an employment, labor, or corporate practice group.
• In-house experience at a high-growth technology, digital health, or SaaS company.
• Familiarity with multi-state employment law in hybrid or fully remote workplaces.
