Head of IT Architecture (Telecom)

What you will do

• Own the current and target architecture for the complete IT estate and translate the IT 2030 strategy into technology roadmaps.
• Define architectural principles, patterns, guardrails, and reference architecture across Enterprise, Solution, Domain, and Platform Architecture.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Architecture organization while aligning architects across IT.
• Connect business ambitions with technology capabilities and identify opportunities involving digital technology, data, AI, and security.
• Maintain architectural governance and balance quality, speed, cost, risk, security, regulatory requirements, and business priorities.
• Lead Security & Risk activities within IT and influence engineers, technology leaders, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in complex, business-critical IT environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong Enterprise and Solution Architecture experience across digital, data, platforms, infrastructure, and security.
• End-to-end architecture experience from business requirements and strategic design through delivery, operations, and lifecycle management.
• Proven leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, architectural governance, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in complex organisations and balance business needs with technology, cost, speed, security, risk, and regulation.

Nice to have

• Telecom experience or experience in another complex, regulated infrastructure environment.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-vendor environments and federated Domain Architecture.
• Additional expertise in digital and multichannel platforms, data, AI, or security.
• Architecture certification such as TOGAF.
