Product Design Manager (AI)

Location: Remote across Europe; the position is listed for Germany. Visa sponsorship is available for Germany, while candidates working from other countries must already have the right to work there.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of product designers, design engineers, and user researchers across multiple product areas.
• Run 1:1s, performance reviews, feedback conversations, coaching, and career progression processes.
• Set a high bar for problem framing, user understanding, interaction design, information architecture, and visual craft.
• Facilitate critiques and reviews that improve design quality, autonomy, and decision-making.
• Identify cross-product UX inconsistencies and develop more coherent patterns and systems.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to influence product direction and expand hirify.global beyond its developer audience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience managing product designers in a product-led technology company, with a team of five or more.
• Experience with 1:1s, evidence-based performance reviews, difficult feedback, career frameworks, and designer development.
• Strong design judgment and enough craft depth to critique work and guide designers toward higher quality.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and designing AI-enabled products, including AI agents.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, developer tools, workflow automation, or similarly technical products.
• Experience designing for developers or technical operators, working with distributed teams, and influencing Product and Engineering without formal authority.
