Software Development Manager, Platform Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Manage a team of full-stack software engineers building hirify.global’s engineering platforms.
• Recruit engineers and mentor the growth of existing team members.
• Drive technical decisions, engineering investments, and one-year team plans across technical and non-technical organizations.
• Review implementations and provide feedback to individual contributors.
• Collaborate on scalable development and testing environments.
• Partner with engineering management to improve software development, testing, and production deployment practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience and 1+ year of engineering management experience.
• Experience managing a team of at least six people through multiple release cycles.
• Experience delivering significant software projects involving APIs, data stores, rules engines, and scalable web applications.
• Strong testing background, including API, functional UI, performance, data-oriented, and distributed systems testing.
• More than proficient written and spoken English; based in Boston, MA.

Nice to have

• Experience driving cross-team engineering excellence initiatives.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Experience building applications with AWS services.
