Manager, Platform Development (AWS)

Location: Remote in the United States, Virginia

Salary: $93,328.50–$150,000 annually, with potential bonus and benefits for eligible employees.

What you will do

• Lead the technology direction for the Curriculum Experience platform and align it with business strategy.
• Partner with technical product management, business stakeholders, engineering groups, and enterprise architecture to deliver products and integration initiatives.
• Own roadmaps, technical decisions, product and technology evaluations, and release timelines.
• Manage software engineering, QA, and DevOps teams, including full-time employees and contract resources.
• Drive CI/CD adoption, frequent releases, automation, and continuous improvement of development processes.
• Mentor engineers, develop future leaders, and provide technical thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of proven experience in software engineering leadership and a strong product delivery track record.
• Experience with large-scale application, middleware, integration, and cloud architecture, including highly available microservices in AWS.
• Knowledge of Agile development, CI/CD, DevOps, build and test automation, deployment, source control, compliance, and auditing.
• Strong communication, planning, estimation, negotiation, facilitation, coaching, and team development skills.
• Ability to pass a required background check and travel up to 10% of the time.
