Manager - Platform Engineering

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional travel to the hirify.global Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, Ohio, or other designated locations

Salary: $122,000–$214,000 annually; target annual bonus of 20% of base salary

What you will do

• Lead platform and cloud engineering for digital and enterprise applications using Agile practices.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, observable, and automated cloud platforms.
• Define work, prioritize tasks, and develop a small team of skilled and autonomous engineers.
• Contribute through code, infrastructure-as-code, code and design reviews, and system health monitoring.
• Partner with architects, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and implementation plans.
• Identify and coordinate performance and cost improvements across platform services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience of at least six years.
• At least five years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working on an Agile or Kanban team.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel to the Dublin, Ohio support center when required.

Nice to have

• At least two years of experience managing an engineering team.
• Software development experience.
• Quick-service restaurant experience.
