BTB Machinist - 3rd Shift

Location: Menominee, Michigan; onsite, 3rd shift from 8:00pm to 6:00am, Monday through Thursday

Salary: $23.00–$29.90 per hour, including a $1.00 off-shift premium for the 3rd shift

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate BTB rotary transfer machines for progressive machining operations.
• Read blueprints and use gauges and precision measuring equipment to perform quality checks.
• Perform tooling changes, machine adjustments, coolant and lubrication replenishment, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, recognize operating irregularities, and escalate issues when needed.
• Track production quantities, downtime, quality, and machine issues while maintaining required records.
• Train and assist operators, communicate across shifts, and contribute to safety, productivity, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in shop math, blueprint reading, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
• Set-up and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
• Ability to work safely, follow procedures, maintain production records, and perform the scheduled overnight shift.
• Experience with CNC and/or PLC-controlled equipment is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of relevant machining experience or equivalent education.
• Experience with CNC and/or PLC-controlled equipment.
