2nd Shift Block Prep - Machining Tech (CNC)

Location: Byesville, Ohio, US. Onsite, second shift. Applicants must be able to work in or relocate to Byesville; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $21.85–$30.84 per hour, plus potential quarterly gainsharing bonus and an additional off-shift differential.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, punches, drills, HAAS machines, Cincinnati machines, and vertical and horizontal lathes.
• Load and unload parts, machine components to specifications and production rates, and perform touch-off and gauge setup.
• Read machine codes, work instructions, drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets.
• Use gauges, surface-testing equipment, torque wrenches, presses, hoists, pallet jacks, and other hand and power tools.
• Identify and diagnose quality issues while maintaining safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and throughput standards.
• Complete rotation training and cross-train on other manufacturing positions.

Requirements

• Ability to stand on concrete for the entire shift and perform repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping, and lifting of up to 50 pounds with assistance or a hoist.
• Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions, gauges, drawings, and production documentation.
• Ability to operate machinery and tools safely, work independently and collaboratively, and work overtime when necessary.
• CNC certification is preferred; certification must be obtained within six months of accepting the position if not already held.
• High school diploma or GED and manufacturing, automotive, trucking, or mechanical experience are preferred.
• Applicants must be permanently authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available, and existing visa holders are not eligible.
