System Engineer - Power Generation

Location: Houston, Texas; 5 days onsite required. Relocation is offered. Travel is up to 20%.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year.

What you will do

• Define mechanical systems and prepare 2D schematic drawings for engine arrangements, cooling, fuel, lubrication, exhaust, starting air, and combined-cycle systems.
• Perform heat-balance, alignment, back-pressure, ventilation, and fuel and lubricant consumption calculations.
• Prepare engineering drawings and documentation for electric power and oil and gas projects managed from Houston.
• Provide technical support for consortium and ancillary equipment interfaces.
• Support order execution and presales activities while ensuring projects remain within hirify.global Motoren capabilities.
• Develop cost-effective, standardized designs and complete technical specifications.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, thermal and mechanical process engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of industry experience in electric power and oil and gas medium-speed engine businesses and related engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of engine and ancillary system designs and applications.
• Experience with AutoCAD, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and project management.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and technical solution development skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not offered.
