Lecturer of Physics

What you will do

• Develop, coordinate, and teach assigned Physics courses, including up to 15 credit hours per semester.
• Address student needs and support the growth of the Physics program.
• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines and contribute to curriculum and course development.
• Serve on department, college, university, and approved professional committees.
• Support the Division Chair and Dean in implementing short- and long-term college goals.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in Physics.
• Ability to teach various courses within the Physics program.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of hire.
• Ability to travel, work beyond normal office hours, and maintain confidentiality.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching Physics lectures and labs at an accredited college or university.
• Experience developing and delivering online Physics courses.
• Familiarity with accreditation processes such as SACSCOC and ABET, as well as assessment and data analysis.
• Experience with academic, professional, industry, or international outreach and collaboration.
