Visiting Instructor - Biological Sciences

Location: Based at the Fort Worth campus in Fort Worth, Texas, United States; may teach at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities. Work hours are generally Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, or as teaching requirements indicate.

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Use active learning, innovative teaching methods, technology, and hands-on activities to support student engagement and critical thinking.
• Provide office hours, assignment feedback, academic guidance, and mentoring to students.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff on course coordination, program improvement, and resource sharing.
• Participate in committees, recruitment, faculty mentoring, professional development, and other institutional service.

Requirements

• Earned master's degree or 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited university.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of biological sciences sufficient for graduate-level instruction.
• Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.
• Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure and work with potential hazardous materials in laboratory settings.
• Successful completion of credential verification and a criminal history investigation is required.
