What you will do

• Manage the Language Revitalization Program, including staffing, planning, goals, budgets, grants, and contractual compliance.
• Research, obtain, administer, and report on grants and contracts.
• Develop language revitalization needs surveys, analyze results, and implement recommendations.
• Provide expertise and resources for Doyon region language development and support the Language Revitalization Committee.
• Build partnerships with language program directors, communities, researchers, vendors, and other external resources.
• Develop an archive plan for materials that strengthen Doyon region languages and culture.

Requirements

• Degree in Alaska Native Languages or Linguistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required experience in grant writing and managing contracts and grants.
• Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures and languages in the Doyon region.
• Demonstrated project management, budget, grant, and contract management experience.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, supervise staff, collaborate with diverse communities, and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Project.
• Preference may be given to Doyon shareholders and shareholders of other Alaska Native Corporations in accordance with applicable law.
