Salary: $117,600–$206,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Own the enterprise catalog-governance architecture, technical direction, roadmap, backlog, standards, and adoption outcomes.
• Define metadata semantics, catalog and lineage standards, data classifications, governed tags, certifications, and governance-platform patterns.
• Design platform solutions for metadata, lineage, classification, data-quality monitoring, catalog reporting, and data-access governance.
• Translate business, privacy, security, and data-governance requirements into technical architecture, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving data governance, cloud operations, data engineering, security, privacy, access governance, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers, analysts, and governance practitioners while advising stakeholders on architecture, risks, sequencing, and tradeoffs.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in technology, data management, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in data governance, data architecture, metadata management, data cataloging, data engineering, or related technology functions.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise data catalogs, metadata, lineage, data-governance, or comparable platform capabilities.
• Strong architecture experience across data platforms, governance controls, integrations, data-access controls, and operating models.
• Ability to translate business and governance requirements into technical designs, standards, validation criteria, and delivery plans.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and communicating technical tradeoffs to executive and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog or a comparable enterprise data-catalog platform.
• Experience with business glossaries, classification, governed tags, certification, lineage, metadata management, or data-quality monitoring.
• Experience integrating catalog governance with access-policy, data-security, privacy, or compliance controls.
• Relevant architecture, cloud, data engineering, security, privacy, or governance certifications.
