Senior Manager, Data Governance - Corporate

What you will do

• Chair and manage the enterprise Data Governance Council, aligning business and technical stakeholders on policies, priorities, data definitions, and ownership.
• Define, implement, and enforce governance policies, standards, and procedures covering data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and execute a multi-year data governance and metadata management roadmap aligned with the Data Insights strategy.
• Establish and mature the Data Stewardship program, including identifying, onboarding, and training data stewards.
• Own the adoption and operational management of Alation or a similar data intelligence platform, including metadata curation, data dictionaries, and AI-enabled data discovery.
• Lead governance in Databricks Unity Catalog and collaborate with Data Engineering and IT to integrate governance tools, access controls, lineage tracking, and automated checks into data pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in data management, data analytics, or data engineering, including 3 or more years in a dedicated data governance leadership role.
• Hands-on experience managing and scaling data governance platforms in complex enterprise environments, including Alation and/or Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, data stewardship models, master data management, and data quality methodologies.
• Ability to build and lead a Data Governance Council, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive consensus without direct authority.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical data concepts in clear business terms.
