Human Resources Intern

Location: Southfield, Michigan, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a permanent basis after graduation.

What you will do

• Support HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending automation and standardization opportunities.
• Use HR technology, AI, automation, and workforce analytics to improve productivity, data quality, reporting, employee experience, and operational effectiveness.
• Help design and implement an enhanced onboarding experience, including scalable workflows, job aids, training materials, and communications.
• Contribute to talent management, organizational development, leadership development, learning programs, and benchmarking initiatives.
• Support internship and early-career programs, Talent Acquisition, employer branding, recruitment marketing, candidate coordination, and onboarding.
• Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures, process maps, and knowledge resources while partnering with HR and business stakeholders on special projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong interest in HR technology, AI, process improvement, people analytics, talent management, and organizational development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with HR systems and tools is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and cross-functionally, maintain confidentiality, and ensure data accuracy.
• Must have permanent authorization to work for any employer in the United States after graduation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Workday, or other HR systems.
• Interest in emerging HR technologies, AI applications, employee experience, and workforce practices.
