Summer Intern, Human Capital and Learning

Location: Remote from Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia, with occasional travel to the Reston, Virginia office

Salary: $34,564.00–$58,758.00 annualized pay range

What you will do

• Conduct background research and literature reviews on human capital, employee learning, organizational development, and workforce trends.
• Support qualitative and quantitative data collection through surveys, interviews, focus groups, pilot tests, and environmental scans.
• Develop and format presentations, reports, guidebooks, training materials, job aids, and communications products.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure deliverables are accurate, consistent, and professionally formatted.
• Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, document decisions, and track follow-up activities.
• Support proposal development, business development research, and internal practice-building activities.

Requirements

• At least 60 completed college-level credit hours by the start date in psychology, management, communications, or a related field.
• United States citizenship or permanent work authorization is required.
• Interest in human capital, organizational development, employee learning, workforce research, talent management, or consulting.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
• Ability to balance multiple assignments in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
• Availability for a 10-week, full-time internship expected to run from June through August.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and statistical or data visualization tools.
• Previous internship, employment, volunteer, research, academic project, or public service experience related to human resources, learning, organizational development, research, communications, or consulting.
• Experience conducting academic research, reviewing literature, synthesizing information, or preparing presentations and reports.
• Interest in supporting federal government clients and learning unfamiliar technologies and methods.
