Capital Project Engineer

Location: Onsite in Nevada, Missouri, with travel to Quapaw, Oklahoma; travel may include up to 20% domestic or international travel. Relocation may be authorized.

Salary: $124,127–$151,710, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Manage project timelines, budgets, performance specifications, and design criteria.
• Coordinate plant personnel, consultants, suppliers, project teams, facility staff, and project sponsors.
• Estimate capital equipment and installation costs and define competitive bidding strategies.
• Oversee equipment layouts, design, construction activities, and commissioning.
• Lead projects in Process Safety Management-covered areas, including chemical process design.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes and guidelines while protecting intellectual property.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
• At least five years of project management experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to communicate project plans and status effectively to management and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to comply with U.S. export control requirements and provide information needed to assess U.S. person status.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Successful execution of projects through final factory performance.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management and Mechanical Integrity practices.
