Senior Project Engineer (Life Sciences)

Location: Onsite at a client site in Van Nuys, California, United States

Salary: $125,000–$165,000 annually base salary

What you will do

• Direct the technical, commercial, and execution performance of capital projects up to $10M.
• Lead projects across feasibility, conceptual and schematic design, construction documentation, construction administration, and startup.
• Define project scope, execution strategies, budgets, schedules, quality plans, and change-control processes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, sub-consultants, resources, and project communications.
• Manage client relationships, proposals, contracts, invoicing, project reporting, risks, and commercial performance.
• Close out projects through certification, handover, metrics, lessons learned, and archiving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or relevant equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of design experience in a design-firm environment.
• Experience managing capital projects from design through startup with values up to $10M.
• Knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments is required.
• Strong commercial awareness, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to manage budgets and deadlines.
• Ability to travel as needed for client and project development.
