Project Engineer - Capital Projects (Pharma/Biotech)

Location: Onsite in Boston, Massachusetts

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 annually

What you will do

• Support execution of capital projects from concept through commissioning
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and vendors for scope and schedule alignment
• Develop and manage project documentation including SOW, specifications, change controls, and RFIs
• Track and report on project schedules, budgets, and milestones
• Participate in design reviews, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and CQV activities
• Ensure GMP, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting procurement and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with operations, quality, EHS for seamless project integration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related)
• 3–8+ years of experience supporting capital projects in regulated industry
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments strongly preferred
• Familiarity with GMP environments, project delivery methodologies (stage-gate, EPCM), CQV processes
• Strong organizational and communication skills for multi-stakeholder interface

Nice to have

• Experience with facility expansions, utilities, or process equipment installations
• Exposure to cleanroom environments and regulated manufacturing
• Knowledge of project controls tools for scheduling and cost tracking
• Previous client-side or embedded OTS/staff augmentation role
