Chief Project Engineer

Location: Claremore, Oklahoma, United States; onsite engineering leadership role at a manufacturing complex.

What you will do

• Lead the Project Engineering team and multidisciplinary teams through the planning and execution of capital projects.
• Define project scope, justification, schedules, resources, and business cases.
• Lead Management of Change for major projects and support turnaround planning, engineering work requests, and critical site initiatives.
• Manage the annual capital spending forecast, five-year capital plan, and project cash-flow forecasts.
• Evaluate projects related to nitrogen manufacturing and lead engineering and construction contractors to meet design specifications and applicable codes.
• Develop engineers through individual development plans and technical capability-building initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Significant experience developing, estimating, and executing capital projects valued above $5 million.
• Experience leading projects from scope development through execution.
• Experience leading engineers or a strong technical background in fertilizer manufacturing.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and complex project work.
• Experience in a nitrogen fertilizer plant, chemical manufacturing facility, refinery, or similar industrial environment.

Nice to have

• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree.
• PMP designation.
