Capital Project Estimator (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: US remote with hybrid flexibility; candidates must be based in the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and able to commute to hirify.global facilities in the region as business needs require. Wilmington, Delaware is the preferred location, with other plant sites considered. Occasional travel to multiple locations is required.

Salary: $110,544–$172,725 per year, plus an annual bonus target of 11%.

What you will do

• Develop conceptual, authorization, and check-authorization estimates throughout the project life cycle.
• Support early investment decisions with business-specific estimates and competitive cost solutions.
• Lead estimate plans and updates through project implementation.
• Develop cost-reduction concepts and improved estimating processes.
• Maintain estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Support risk competency leads and compile benchmark and metric data to improve estimate performance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial, or a related industry.
• Experience with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator and Aspen InPlant Cost Estimator.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and adapt plans quickly.
• Ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Must be based in the Central or Eastern US time zones and able to commute to regional facilities as required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of estimating experience.
• Technical or engineering background.
• Familiarity with Richardson, Aspen, RS Means, or similar estimating cost bases.
• Knowledge of @Risk Monte Carlo software.
