Mechanic

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; onsite

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, equipment, and hand tools.
• Maintain schedules for highway delivery equipment and pump systems.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Diagnose and repair OEM computer systems, wiring, and PeopleNet OBC systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including potential after-hours callouts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three or more years of highway equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, computers, wiring, hydraulic pumping systems, and product transfer pumps.
• Competence with Google Chrome, maintenance management software, OEM diagnostic systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a drug-free environment.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker is preferred but not required.
