Billing Specialist (IT Services)

What you will do

• Generate and process invoices for recurring managed services, time and materials, projects, and product sales.
• Review contracts, proposals, and service agreements to ensure billing follows client terms.
• Validate technician time entries, expenses, service tickets, and project data before billing.
• Maintain billing schedules, recurring contract renewals, and pricing changes.
• Resolve internal and client billing questions, discrepancies, and disputes.
• Prepare billing summaries and revenue reports for month-end close while identifying process improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance.
• Experience with PSA tools such as ConnectWise Manage or Autotask and accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of managed services contracts, recurring billing, project invoicing, and IT services tax implications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, written and verbal communication, and client-service skills.
• Ability to reconcile time and expense entries with service tickets or projects and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the MSP or IT services industry.
• Familiarity with CRM and ERP integrations for billing workflows.
