Manufacturing Engineering Co-op (MedTech)

Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States; onsite

Salary: $27.00 per hour

Company

Develops medical devices, software, and related services for diagnosing and treating serious cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions, including AEDs, trauma kits, ventilators, and temperature management solutions.

What you will do

• Support the Manufacturing Engineering Department on a six-month operations assignment.
• Work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, industrial, and quality engineering teams.
• Design parts, assemblies, and fixtures using SolidWorks and 3D CAD.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma techniques to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
• Analyze product and business concerns and determine logical actions.
• Support engineering changes and validation activities when applicable.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at the start of the co-op and remain eligible for the January 2027 to August 2027 assignment.
• Pursuing a degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Completed at least the first year of study with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, 3D CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience creating engineering changes and supporting validation activities.
