What you will do

  • Support manufacturing engineering projects focused on process optimization, yield improvement, and waste reduction.
  • Analyze production, quality, and equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment and support validation, qualification, and process characterization activities.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop work instructions, visual aids, and engineering documentation, including time studies and capacity analyses.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams and present findings to engineering and operational leadership.

Requirements

  • Completion of the undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field during the co-op.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, statistical analysis, process capability studies, or Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, Minitab, Excel, or similar data analysis platforms.
  • Awareness of manufacturing in regulated medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments.
  • Leadership experience through campus organizations, projects, or community service.
