Co-op, Manufacturing: January - June 2027 (Onsite)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; 100% onsite. Position dates: January 11, 2027 – June 30, 2027. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Salary: $25.00–$34.00 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Support validation activities, process studies, engineering experiments, and manufacturing investigations.
• Observe manufacturing operations and recommend improvements to safety, quality, efficiency, yield, and standardization.
• Draft, review, and update manufacturing protocols, reports, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Collect, analyze, and present manufacturing and quality data to support engineering decisions.
• Contribute to process optimization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency projects.
• Use SolidWorks to create and update parts, assemblies, and drawings.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum sophomore standing with plans to return to an accredited degree program after the co-op.
• Availability for the full Spring Co-op period from January 11 through June 30, 2027.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, data analysis, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, including sketches, features, assemblies, and drawings.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Minitab, JMP, or similar data analysis tools.
• Coursework or project experience in manufacturing processes, mechanical design, quality engineering, statistics, or process improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement.
• Exposure to laboratory testing, manufacturing environments, or technical report writing.
