Designer II (CAD)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States; on-site five days per week

Salary: $49,400–$87,639.99 annual base salary

What you will do

• Create 3D and 2D graphics for control projects submitted by field offices.
• Produce designs and technical documentation using computer-aided design and product lifecycle management systems.
• Document parts and bills of materials based on engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches.
• Lead small segments of larger projects, identify potential design problems, and correct errors.
• Maintain proficiency with computer-aided graphic systems and related applications through company training.
• Travel to support products or train other personnel when required.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience using computer-aided graphic solutions in lieu of a degree, or an associate degree.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, ProEngineer CAD, or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of design and drafting standards, practices, methods, and processes.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, innovative, quality-minded approach.
• Ability to work on-site in Grand Rapids five days per week.
