Group FP&A Analyst (Natural Resources)

Location: London; occasional international travel approximately twice a year or on a project basis.

Salary: £75,000–£90,000 per annum

Global natural resources business operating mines and development or group entities.

What you will do

• Own FP&A activities for at least one operating mine and one or more development or group entities.
• Support group budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end management accounts, performance analysis, variance analysis, and cost or capital expenditure reviews.
• Work with site finance teams, operational leaders, Executive Management, and the Board on planning and performance reviews.
• Build executive, Board, and external market presentations.
• Contribute to ad hoc analysis, system development, continuous improvement, and AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification.
• Graduate degree.
• Experience in FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with group reporting systems; Hyperion exposure is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Background in natural resources or mining.
• Experience with Hyperion or similar group reporting systems.
