Technical Program Manager (Hardware)

What you will do

• Manage the strategy, planning, execution, and delivery of technically complex hardware products from concept through production.
• Own program budgets, staffing plans, product cost models, and end-product cost targets.
• Coordinate program teams, product stakeholders, design, engineering, production, and supply chain partners.
• Report program status, risks, issues, and progress to senior management and company leadership.
• Define scope and schedules, monitor quality and progress, and lead issue resolution using structured project management methods.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of technical product design lifecycles and problem-solving processes.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to trade-off decisions and program strategy.
• Business-minded approach to evaluating program decisions in terms of cost and resources.
• Experience creating and implementing tools for communication, scheduling, risk management, resource planning, cost tracking, and production planning.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior management and individual contributors.
• B.S. degree or higher in engineering or a science discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping highly complex technical products as a design engineer.
• Experience in startup or highly entrepreneurial environments.
• Experience leading hardware development with overseas manufacturing partners.
