Focus on planning and documenting patient care, supporting consent and follow-up processes, educating patients and caregivers, and maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.

Location: 211 E. Ontario, Chicago, IL, United States; full-time day shift, 4/10s schedule

Salary: USD 42.50–68.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Plan, provide, coordinate, and document care for post-lung transplant patients.
  • Coordinate comprehensive care, including consent support, data collection, follow-up visits, referrals, testing, treatment, and long-term monitoring.
  • Collaborate with transplant physicians and interdisciplinary teams to maximize patient wellness through cost-effective care.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and staff based on individualized needs.
  • Act as a communication link between patients, caregivers, clinical teams, and external hospitals or agencies.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, professional committees, and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois required.
  • Current CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of recent, related clinical experience.
  • Knowledge of or experience with stem cell or organ transplantation and donation.

Nice to have

  • Specialty certification in the relevant clinical area.
  • Previous transplant or organ-specific experience, including hepatology, nephrology, hematologic malignancies, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, or cellular therapies.
