TL;DR

Location: Remote within the United States, with preference for candidates based in PST, MST, or CST time zones. The role requires travel of up to 60% and includes regular visits to transplant centers and organ procurement organizations.

Salary: $101,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

  • Build and maintain relationships with transplant centers, organ procurement organizations, and transplant thought leaders.
  • Provide clinical education on Lung Bioengineering’s service model, Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion devices, and value proposition.
  • Train and onboard physicians and other medical professionals, and serve as a liaison between transplant centers and EVLP specialists.
  • Conduct post-EVLP debriefs, regular partner visits, case reviews, and workflow improvement initiatives.
  • Capture customer, industry, and lung-transplant landscape insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Maintain CRM data, support contracts, conferences, marketing initiatives, case studies, abstracts, and scientific submissions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or clinical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as an organ procurement coordinator, thoracic transplant coordinator, or thoracic transplant medical science liaison/scientist.
  • Experience building relationships with transplant centers or organ procurement organizations and training physicians in transplant or cardiothoracic settings.
  • Proficiency in organ procurement processes and familiarity with UNOS policies covering lung allocation, procurement, donor management, and data reporting.
  • Strong presentation, organizational, planning, and self-direction skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% and work remotely from within the United States.

Nice to have

  • Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator or Certified Transplant Preservationist certification.
  • Clinical and scientific expertise in thoracic surgery or thoracic transplant procedures.
  • Experience with transplant reimbursement policies, EVLP devices, Veeva, CRM forecasting, and TXC data dashboards.
