Location: Berlin, Germany; 80% office presence and 20% mobile working

What you will do

• Lead and develop Software Engineers while setting clear expectations and staying close to the technology.
• Contribute hands-on to products and technical solutions across domains and brands.
• Collaborate with Product and Business teams to shape solutions with measurable impact.
• Take ownership of complex topics and turn ideas and decisions into concrete outcomes.
• Challenge existing solutions, propose alternatives, and help improve engineering practices across teams.
• Use data, KPIs, and experimentation to evaluate outcomes and improve decisions.

Requirements

• Proven management experience combined with a strong software engineering background.
• Hands-on experience building products, projects, or startups and leading by example.
• Ability to connect Engineering, Product, and Business decisions with measurable outcomes.
• Pragmatic, outcome-oriented approach balancing technical quality with product and business needs.
• Confidence taking ownership of complex or uncomfortable topics.
• Clear communication skills and experience giving and receiving direct, constructive feedback.
