Director of Test Engineering (AI Hardware)

What you will do

• Define end-to-end manufacturing test strategy, architecture, coverage, and requirements across components, subsystems, and final products.
• Design, integrate, validate, and qualify production test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, software, and automation.
• Partner with engineering, NPI, quality, industrial engineering, and manufacturing partners to deliver production-ready test capabilities.
• Optimize test coverage, repeatability, throughput, cycle time, yield, and cost while reducing false failures and unnecessary test content.
• Deploy, qualify, and sustain test solutions with contract manufacturers through production ramp and high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of engineering leadership experience in Test Engineering, Manufacturing Test, or Product Test within semiconductor, photonics, electronics, or advanced computing.
• At least five years of experience leading teams.
• Expertise in manufacturing test architecture, test equipment, instrumentation, fixtures, automation, and test software.
• Experience developing and qualifying test solutions for complex electrical, optical, and high-speed products from NPI through high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience developing automated test systems, analyzing test data, and partnering with contract manufacturers to scale production test capability.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, or another advanced technical discipline.
• Experience with high-speed electrical or optical interconnects, photonics, or advanced AI compute hardware.
• Six Sigma or another advanced continuous improvement certification.
