Hardware Design Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Mountain View, CA, Greater Boston, or San Jose, CA

Salary: $180,000–$280,000 annually; other listed ranges include $140,000–$400,000 annually.

hirify.global is working with a high-growth startup developing next-generation infrastructure for AI workloads in modern data centers, integrating advanced optical modules to improve hardware performance.

What you will do

• Design Ethernet switches, CPU subsystems, memory systems, and networking interfaces.
• Develop high-speed circuit boards incorporating advanced ASICs and optical modules.
• Perform system-level analysis, simulation, validation, and debugging.
• Collaborate with software, thermal, mechanical, and supply chain functions.
• Define and improve hardware design standards and best practices.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience designing hardware systems for high-speed, high-power applications.
• Hands-on expertise in signal integrity, power integrity, thermal management, and UL, CE, and FCC compliance.
• Familiarity with x86, ARM, and BMC CPU subsystems, DC/DC power systems, and VHDL or Verilog digital logic.
• Previous success shipping complex hardware products.
