Lead Software Engineer-Full Stack (AWS)

Location: Hybrid; candidates must live within close proximity to a hub in Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona, and work from both home and the office.

Salary: $107,000–$170,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and secure applications supporting Financial Services alliances and new business opportunities.
• Analyze customer requirements, identify technical solutions, and diagnose and resolve complex problems.
• Manage technology and data assets throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Apply Agile, DevOps, DevSecGitOps, AWS Well-Architected, and modern engineering practices.
• Provide technical direction through architecture decisions, code reviews, testing standards, and software quality practices.
• Mentor and coordinate product and engineering team members while contributing to technical documentation and open-source communities.

Requirements

• Software engineering or application development experience.
• Active development experience with Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, Angular, and Spring Boot.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS and compute environments, with familiarity with .NET, Azure, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, secure coding, and DevSecGitOps principles.
• Ability to diagnose complex technical issues, provide technical consultation, and influence engineering standards through architecture, testing, and code reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROSA, AWS Well-Architected practices, TDD/BDD, automated testing, or strong code review standards.
• Financial Services delivery experience.
• Open-source or community contribution experience.
