Software Lead and Integration Manager

Location: Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework. An active Top Secret / SCI clearance is required and must be maintained.

Salary: $116,587.59–$202,723.20 per year. A separate $3,000 amount is listed in the posting conditions.

What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional U.S. Space Force team of physicists, systems engineers, and software developers.
• Evaluate physics-based concepts and translate scientific needs into scalable, mission-driven software solutions.
• Design, test, and implement end-to-end software solutions using clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure.
• Read, program, and review code across the full stack.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering and science personnel.
• Coordinate outcomes across science, software, hardware, and systems engineering teams.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with the ability to maintain it.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10–12 years of experience, Master’s degree with 8–10 years, or PhD with 5–7 years; at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience with radio frequency, the electromagnetic spectrum, or space weather concepts.
• Full-stack development experience and the ability to program in Python, JavaScript, or C/C++.
• Experience with React, Angular, REST, or GraphQL, plus leadership of highly technical teams.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and coordinate cross-functional work.

Nice to have

• Experience with radar systems, radar modeling, or signal processing.
• Experience with Kubernetes, software factories, requirements analysis, or complex simulation frameworks.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to obtain Security+ certification within two months of hire.
