Electrical Designer (Solar Engineering)

Location: Remote or onsite in Lakewood, Colorado; applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Office work is expected, with some field work and minimal travel of 0–10%.

Salary: $30.00–$37.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Design utility-scale photovoltaic electrical power systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, conduit and cable routing, grounding, equipment selection, and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare inverter, battery energy storage system, trench, general arrangement, civil, and structural drawings.
• Develop conceptual and high-level designs for project bids with limited information or direction.
• Prepare bases of design, bills of materials, studies, reports, and other project documentation.
• Review designers’, drafters’, and field service personnel’s work for quality and accuracy while contributing to QA/QC.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of engineering design or relevant experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Strong technical verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read technical literature and engineering plans.
• Strong written and verbal command of English.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States. Ability to lift 25 pounds and follow safety requirements.
