Process Engineer (Chemical Engineering)

Location: Onsite at the manufacturing site in Ashton, UK

What you will do

• Optimize mixing, extrusion, calendering, coating, slitting, and packaging processes to improve quality, productivity, delivery, and efficiency.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop and track KPIs including yield, variability, velocity, run-to-target, and rework.
• Implement process, automation, efficiency, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Manage process modifications through the Management of Change process and maintain SOPs, operational standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, EHS, and global Process Engineering teams while coaching operational staff.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
• Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data analysis tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, operational excellence, and a hands-on approach to engaging teams.
