Operations Team Lead (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day frontline leadership and supervision on the manufacturing shop floor.
• Track production output, allocate resources and headcount, and deliver operational plans on time and to budget.
• Coach, mentor, appraise, and develop team members while managing attendance and disciplinary matters fairly.
• Identify and resolve operational problems through root-cause analysis and stakeholder escalation.
• Enforce GMP, health, safety, environmental, quality, and business-system requirements.
• Lead Lean and Process Excellence initiatives to improve production-line performance and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Higher National Diploma in Management or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of supervisory management experience in a similar environment.
• Experience managing multiple operational teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of world-class manufacturing and regulated industries.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies and using KPIs to improve business performance.
• Availability for limited travel, no more than 5%, to other sites for training or experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with materials handling, packaging operations, package and labeling regulations, or plant operations.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, work order management, analytical reasoning, and production problem solving.
